FIMS 34th World Congress of Sports Medicine

On behalf of the Turkish Sports Medicine Association (TSMA), it is our sincere pleasure to invite you to the 34th FIMS World Sports Medicine Congress to be held in Ljubljana, Slovenia on 29 September-2 October 2016.

Sports medicine is developing at a rapid pace, establishing a solid foundation in clinical medicine. This next FIMS meeting promises to be a highlight for the multidisciplinary community that forms the heart and soul of sports medicine. Organizing Committee aims to provide a successive forum for researchers and clinicians from all over the world to exchange ideas and state-of-the-art in the emerging fields of sports medicine. In this respect, we are currently are in touch with continental and national associations in order to include less known groups and institutions for their contributions. We are also working on providing simultaneous translation from Russian, Chinese and Arabic for the benefit of participants to those countries speaking respective languages.

There will be plenary lectures devoted to in all areas of sports medicine. Distinguished speakers will address new developments in clinical and allied sciences, covering a broad range of topics. The multidisciplinary symposia organised throughout the meeting will truly reflect FIMS’s mission to interact with other global organisations, with the goal of providing the best possible care for our patients and community. Continuous education has always been an important feature, and this will be fostered to the benefit of our entire colleagues. As always, the latest achievements in clinical sports medicine, science and technology will be communicated during featured, oral and poster sessions. At the end of the meeting, the highlights will be summarised by two distinguished lecturers as a take home message.

We currently have the good fortune to chair the FIMS Education Commission and being involved in Scientific Commission aiming at achieving the highest quality through close collaboration for the scientific program.

Besides the scientific and educational activities that you will be able to enjoy during your attendance at FIMS 2016, Organising Committee will do its best to make you feel welcome in the city of Ljubljana.

We sincerely hope that you will all find your way to Ljubljana in late September – early October 2016 to actively participate in FIMS 2016 Congress, to meet and interact with friends and colleagues from all over the world and to enjoy Ljubljana’s hospitality.
